Use the service completely free for 30 days and gain peace of mind that your data is safe in the event of anything major happening in your office. SDSL do not take any credit card or financial information from you.
SDSL offer a full 30 day trial completely free of charge and with no obligation whatsoever. The 30 day trial enables SDSL to settle the account and establish how much data you have and then provide you with a quotation for your consideration. As SDSL charges are based on compressed data held on their servers, you could actually end up paying less than you think as some files compress by as much as 75%. If you change your mind you are free to cancel the trial at any time and if this happens SDSL simply remove your account and delete any data they have from their servers. |
Managed Service
This is the standard service. SDSL provides the highest levels of proactive support with this type of account. Starting price for a fully managed 1gb account is £5.00 + vat per month, paid quarterly in advance. The managed service means that SDSL's technical team check every backup report daily and if they discover a problem or issue they contact the client to inform them. The cost per gb reduces at levels above 10gb.

Optional Unmanaged Service
This option is suitable for companies that have an in-house IT Department and that would prefer to retain responsibility for reading the daily backup reports themselves. SDSL still offer all security, replication to a second data centre and full technical support but only in response to you calling them with a problem rather than SDSL being proactive.
SDSL's Unmanaged Service costs £2.80 + vat per gb per month but is payable in full in advance for 12 months. For example a 1gb account would cost £33.60 + vat per annum a 2gb account would cost £67.20 + vat per annum. The cost per gb falls the more data you have stored with SDSL.
It is always difficult to provide an accurate costing as data compression varies considerably. If you have 50gb of data on your servers by the time it is compressed and encrypted it may well reduce down to a 20-25gb account. As your data storage requirement increases so the cost per gb reduces.

The most accurate way to calculate the costs so that you do not get any nasty surprises, is for you to take advantage of the free, no obligation 30 day trial. The trial enables SDSL to establish the exact amount of data they will be storing on their servers prior to any commitment. During the trial the technicians work with you to ensure that your important data is selected and that any other data that often accumulates on a server or workstation over a period of time can be de-selected so that it is not included.
SDSL do not charge any additional fees for set up or software licences or for assisting with technical support or restores. If you suffer a major catastrophe and lose all your data and SDSL consider it would be quicker to get your data back to you via a removable drive rather than the Internet this service is also included in the managed service fee. SDSL do not take any credit card information at all so no personal records are held on file and payment is via bacs or cheque upon receipt of an invoice after the thirty day trial.
