Buying Online (2)
When you are shopping online you can add items to your 'shopping cart' at any time. Each time you do, you visit the checkout page to (a) ensure that the right item has been added to your 'basket' and (b) it gives you the opportunity to amend your shopping list.
At any time you can continue shopping and add (or take away) items from your basket. When you have finished shopping, you can go to the checkout page and pay for the items - it's a bit like going to the supermarket!
You will see links like the ones below, the one on the left is on the eBuyer website, in the middle is Tesco, and the one on the right is on the Amazon website.

Clicking on any of the links will take you to the checkout area which is either a secure page, or will lead you to a secure page (remember the padlock symbol?).
You will then have the opportunity of paying for the goods you have selected. If you have a PayPal account, you can usually use this, if they have this facility, or you can use your credit/debit card directly. If you are an eBay regular, the chances are you already have a PayPal account, and this makes life a lot easier. Whichever method you choose, both are equally secure.
At this stage I would state that we do not recommend you use a personal or business cheque to pay online. Tactical Panda may not be the biggest business in the world, but even we use PayPal for credit card payments and purchases, so there really in no excuse for the online shop not to.
When you have completed your transaction you will be sent to some form of acknowledgment page. This will outline again your purchases, maybe a delivery date as well. Any credit card details will be masked and usually have only the first four or last four digits showing.
You should then get an e.mail from the company once again detailing your purchase, with a thank you note, and an expected delivery date.
And that's it!
