Panic Button
Panic Button is intended to ease the work of people who supports end-users, either sysadmins/helpdesks, or those who simply help friends and family. The idea came about after the software writer was getting increasingly frustrated by reports like '
I had this error message on my computer. It said that the whatsit had caused a thingy operation'. No-one ever wrote down error messages, and could never remember what they said!
Download the software
| First, you have to download the software from our website. To do that, please click here or the image on the right. |

| You will first see a dialogue box similar to this one on the right, please click 'Run'. |

| The software will start to download to your computer. |

| On the next dialogue box, please click 'Run', as shown here. |

| Once downloaded, you will need to select the language, in this instance, English is the default setting. |

| The installation 'wizard' will now start, and you should click on 'Next' to continue. |
 |
| You have to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) to continue the installation. |
 |
| The software will automatically select the best place to install the programme, please click on 'Next' to continue, then follow the rest of the on-screen instruction. |

Configuration
| To configure your Panic Button, right-click on the icon in the taskbar, it looks something like this one shown here. |

| Select 'Set up Panic Button' from the list and left-click this. |
 |
| Now you have to enter the information. Please enter the details shown here exactly as we show it opposite. The password you need to enter is password1 (all in lower case letters).
Please enter your name in the box provided, this is so we know who the message is from!
Once completed, click 'OK'. |

From now on, every time you get an error message, or there is something on the screen that you don't understand, simply click on the Panic Button Icon and send us the problem!
