The Tactical Panda Service Plans

Tactical Panda prides itself on being able to offer first class and rapid service to its customers - we think it's what seperates us from the rest! Now we can offer our customers all over North Devon & North Cornwall an even better service - The Tactical Panda Service Plan.

Do you want even better service than you are currently enjoying? Is that possible? We think so! Read on...! For a modest monthly fee, we can provide you with up to 3 levels of extraordinary service - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Before you think 'Oh no, not another extended warranty scheme', we are different, and having read everything on offer, we are sure you will agree!


Bronze Service Plan

For a monthly fee of only £4 (payable only by standing order), you can expect to receive:

  • Computer breakdown: Same day service/callout if we are notified by telephone of the problem before 3pm (1500 hours). Next day service/callout if after 3pm (1500 hours).
  • Computer Annual Service: 'Short' service of your computer, including updates from Microsoft, anti-virus check (+ removal), anti-spyware & trojan check (+ removal), cookie removal, manufacturer updates, basic components and hardware check, cleaning + dust removal.
  • Anti-Spyware Software: Free installation of high-specification anti-spyware software (if not already installed).
  • Collection & Return: This service includes collection of your computer from your home and return within 24 hours, and includes 'wiring it up' and re-connection to the internet (if applicable).
  • Advice & Help: Telephone + e.mail help and advice up to a maximum of 2 hours total telephone calls and/or 10 e.mail communications from us per calander month.

Silver Service Plan

For a monthly fee of only £5 (payable only by standing order), you can expect to receive:

  • Computer breakdown: Same day service/callout if we are notified by telephone of the problem before 4pm (1600 hours). Next day service/callout if after 4pm (1600 hours).
  • Computer Annual Service: 'Standard' service of your computer, including updates from Microsoft, anti-virus check (+ removal), anti-spyware & trojan check (+ removal), cookie removal, manufacturer updates, components and hardware check, cleaning + dust removal.
  • Anti-Spyware Software: Free installation of high-specification anti-spyware software (if not already installed).
  • Collection & Return: This service includes collection of your computer from your home and return within 24 hours, and includes 'wiring it up' and re-connection to the internet (if applicable).
  • Advice & Help: Telephone + e.mail help and advice up to a maximum of 3 hours total telephone calls and/or 15 e.mail communications from us per calander month.

Gold Service Plan

For a monthly fee of only £6 (payable only by standing order), you can expect to receive:

  • Computer breakdown: Same day service/callout if we are notified by telephone of the problem before 5pm (1700 hours). Next day service/callout if after 5pm (1700 hours).
  • Computer Annual Service: 'Full' service of your computer, including updates from Microsoft, anti-virus check (+ removal), anti-spyware & trojan check (+ removal), cookie removal, manufacturer updates, major components and hardware check, disused software removal, registry check and update, cleaning + dust removal.
  • Anti-Virus Software:
  • Free one year license for ESET Nod32 V3 or V4 home user anti-virus software (including installation).
  • Anti-Spyware Software: Free installation of high-specification anti-spyware software (if not already installed).
  • Data Back-Up: Free back-up (to DVD or CD) of 'My Documents' (XP) / 'Documents' (Vista & 7).
  • Collection & Return: This service includes collection of your computer from your home and return within 24 hours, and includes 'wiring it up' and re-connection to the internet (if applicable).
  • Advice & Help: Unlimited telephone + e.mail help and advice *.

* We do have a 'fair usage' policy, and although we try to be as helpful as we can, obviously calling us every hour - on the hour - is not really fair usage, so we must reserve the right to say 'enough is enough'! But you wouldn't do that would you?

The Small Print...

As with all things in life where money is involved, there is some small print you should read before proceeding. We have kept it as straight forward as we can, so everyone knows where they are! We have to assume that if you enter into a Service Plan agreement with us, you understand and accept these conditions.

  • Start of Service Plan
  • Your chosen Service Plan Agreement will commence upon receipt of a completed and signed Standing Order mandate.

  • Change of Service Plan
  • You can change your service plan at any time by notifying us (preferably by e.mail) in writing. Your plan will change upon receipt of the first revised payment.

    If you upgrade your plan (from Bronze to Silver, Silver to Gold or Bronze to Gold), then it is assumed that you are taking out a new agreement with us, and the minimum period of contract applies (6 months). Once you have upgraded, you cannot downgrade to another plan if you have had an Annual Service completed on your computer under the terms of the new agreement.

  • Cancellation of Service Plan
  • You may cancel your service plan outright at any time. Your agreement with us will end immediately on the day you cancel irrespective of any payments made prior to cancellation. Advance payments are not refundable.

    To help us to help you, we would appreciate it if you would contact us to say you are cancelling your agreement.

    If you do cancel your agreement, please remember to notify your bank in writing as soon as possible to stop any further standing order mandates from being paid!

    Tactical Panda IT Services reserves the right to cancel your Service Plan at any time and refund any payments due.

  • Minimum Contract Period
  • The minmum contract period for all plans is 6 (six) months only if you have an Annual Service completed on your computer, after initially taking out the Service Plan. This is to prevent customers taking out a Service Plan, having their computer serviced, then cancelling their Plan! If you do cancel the agreement with us during this six months period, and have had an Annual Service completed on your computer, you will be billed for a 'standard' service.

  • Non-Payment of Standing Order
  • Things happen, and sometimes the bank makes a mistake and doesn't pay a standing order. Please notify us if this is the case and we will continue your Service Plan while the bank sorts it out. If you don't notify us, then sorry, we will assume your Service Plan is cancelled and we will have to start all over again.

  • Computer Service Booking
  • You may have your computer serviced at any time in the 12 months from the start of the Service Plan. However, we would appreciate it if you could give us a few days notice!

  • Computer Breakdown
  • If you have a problem with your computer, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably by telephone. If we are unable to answer your call straight away, please leave a message as all messages are timed so we know you called us in time according to your Service Plan!

    There is a remote possibility that due to circumstances beyond our control we may not be able to deal with your computer breakdown exactly as per the terms of your agreeement with us. In the unlikely event of this happening, we will endevavour to get to you at the earliest possible time, and by way of compensation, refund one month's payment.

  • How many computers are covered by the plan?
  • Each Service Plan covers one computer which must be nominated upon taking out the agreement with us. The Plan is not transferable to another computer or computer owner, unless agreed in advance with us. If you change your computer we may alter the agreement to adopt the new computer and continue the terms of the original plan, subject to acceptance.

  • Hardware & Additional Software
  • Please note that your Service Plan Agreement with us does not include the provision of any replacement for faulty/damaged hardware or software, unless we have entered into a seperate agreement to do this for you. However, if you have purchased a new hardware or software item, we will be more than happy to install it for you (f.o.c.) at the time of the pre-booked annual service.

    Installation of any new and/or replacement hardware or software not completed at the time of the annual service will attract our normal installation fee.

  • Free Anti-Virus Software (Gold Plan only)
  • We will install on your computer, free of charge, a fully licensed copy of one of the best anti-virus software suites in the world, ESET's Nod32 at the eime of the pre-booked annual service. Please note that if, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to rpovide this software, we reserve the right to substitute the software for a comparable one.

  • Data Back-Up (Gold Plan only)
  • At the time of your pre-booked annual service, we will always make a copy (to CD or DVD) of the contents of 'My Documents' (XP) or 'Documents' (Vista & Windows 7), free of charge. However, please note that although every care is taken to ensure your documents are backed up, it is still your responsibility to ensure that regular back-ups are taken of your computer, and we cannot be held responsible for any loss of data, however caused, on your computer whilst the computer is in our care.

    Bronze & Silver Service Plans: We are more than happy to complete a data back-up at the time of your pre-booked annual service for a fee of £5, payable upon return of the computer.

  • System Recovery Discs
  • Not made your system recovery discs yet? Ask us at the time of the annual service and we will do this for you, free of charge. (Note: this is only applicable to systems where the making of recovery discs is made possible by the computer manufacturer (i.e. most Packard Bell, Sony, HP and Compaq computers).

  • Other Hardware
  • Please note that the pre-booked Annual Service does not cover the servicing of your monitor, printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse, speakers or any other hardware device. However, if you have a faulty periferal cable (i.e. USB cable, monitor cable, power cable), we will replace this for you, free of charge.

    If you have a faulty periferal device (like the monitor, printer etc), we are more than happy to offer free advice and help with any computer device as part of the service.
