Skype
| Skype is a totally free VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) system whereby you can talk to and see (if you have a webcam) anyone else who also has Skype installed on their computer (or Skype phone). It is quickly and easily installed on your computer, and with the help of a microphone and/or a headset (optional), you can chat online with another Skype user anywhere in the world for as long as you want. | ![]() |
How Does It Work?
All you need is a broadband internet connection, an optional microphone and headset, or a webcam with a built-in microphone, the free software from Skype installed, a free account with Skype and off you go. You can of course buy 'credit' (like a pay-as-you-go mobile phone), and that way you can talk to family, friends, customers, on their landline or mobile using your Skype.
How Do I get Skype?
To get Skype on your computer (remember the software is totally free), simply click on any of the links on this page (the orange coloured text), or one of the banners, and you are directed to the Skype website. There you can download the free software onto your computer (it only takes a couple of minutes), set up your account which will include a unique username and a password, plug in your microphone and headset (or your webcam), and start calling family and friends anywhere in the world who also have Skype - for free!
I don't have a Microphone or Webcam!

Not a problem, Skype also sell high quality headsets and webcams at very competitive prices from leading manufacturers such as Logitech, Philips, Freetalk and Plantronics. Visit their website for more details. |
Tactical Panda & Skype
To show our faith in the system - we also have Skype, and use it a lot! To add Tactical Panda to your list of contacts once you have Skype installed, add or search for tactical-panda in the search facility. Once we accept you as a contact you can call us anytime you like for free!
